In Memory of Dr. Daniel B. Hurwich
Dr. Hurwich was a kind, compassionate, soft spoken man. These were a few of his qualities that endeared him to so many.
His pursuit of knowledge was evident in his breadth of medical knowledge.
Dr. Hurwich joined Internal Medicine Associates in 1993. He completed his fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago after graduating from medical school at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Hurwich was board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He was also a Clinical Associate Professor at Indiana University Northwest Medical School and was involved in medical student education since 1993. He participated in clinical research on Hepatitis C, GERD and esophageal trans oral incisionless fundoplication (TIF). He had a particular interest in patients dealing with liver disease, hepatitis and those needing non-surgical treatment of reflux disease.
Dr. Hurwich left an indelible impact on everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all.
